February 19–22, 2026 | Groesbeck, Texas

Another year of our Hog Hunt Circle Event has come and gone. This one probably produced more hog kills and “almosts” than any other year. Andy at 633 Trophy Boar Ranch, had the stands and opportunities ready for us. And five of the nine guys brought home the bacon. Baylor, Will, Ed, Scott, and I each put meat on the ground. It was especially fun to see Ed and his son Scott, and Baylor and his stepson Will do this together. I’m sure this will go down as a great memory. This was Will and Scotts first Circle Event. I think they’ll be back. John, Joe, Kenny and Geoff each shot but came up empty handed when the blood trails dried up.

John is the host for these events. He offered some great meals that included Elk stew, fajitas, and some delicious burgers. And he makes some perfect guacamole. Joe prepared some of his famous desserts. He knows that whenever he is at an event, he HAS to make dessert. As always, we ate good.

The winners of our gift cards were Baylor and Geoff. And Geoff decided to give his to Will. So, this weekend, the team of Baylor and Will won out on pigs and prizes.

As I do at each event, I taught on Friday and Saturday. It’s always a good time for the guys to “circle up” on the couches and recliners and grow a little deeper in our faith. I think these are the best environments to learn. And to not only learn at specific times, but also as we just hang out and share our own life experiences.

The next event is in a few weeks. We’re catching crappies in Alabama. You really do want to come to an Outdoor Truths Circle Event. I promise.
