Turkey Hunt Circle Event 
May 1-4, 2025

This has to go down as the best Circle Event where no animal was killed. But it wasn’t as if there were no turkeys. They were plentiful. But only a few of the guys wanted to hunt. Most of us were satisfied hanging out, doing a little fishing in the big pond (tanks in Texas), and finding time to play cornhole and just be present.

There were also the meals. Red Stag burgers and burritos were delicious. And as you can tell from the pictures, we started with a massive crawfish boil. Casey and his ranch were our hosts. The accommodation was 5 stars. Unlike most events, most of the guys there were new to me. But it didn’t take long to feel like you had known each other for years. A little trash talking among guys seems to chip away at any trepidation. Dan, Casey, Robert, Scot, Buck and Tim had been friends for years. Me, Jonathon, and John were the newbies. And speaking of Jonathon, this was his first ever Circle Event. He became a fan.

And then there were four unbelievable young men. Dalton, Tucker, Chase, and Cameron. These guys were mature beyond their years and give me hope for the future.

As in all our events, I taught twice. I continue to be amazed at how the Lord uses these small events. God blesses me through them. And I see God doing a work in the lives of those who attend as well.

The next event is our Faith Circle Event in June and then to Arkansas for the Trout event. Both are full. But stay in touch with all thing Outdoor Truths to find an opening for the next Circle Event.
